Interesting. I've decided to use Notes more, too. (And I just posted my first one.) I've used Notes to some extent before, but mostly as an adjunct to someone's Post. I now intend to aim at "smaller" thoughts; to wit, not long enough to merit a post. Or to make a Comment more widely shared. (N.B. I'm a year behind you!)

But you are decades(!!) ahead in consistent regular posting. And your reading is incredibly prolific. I am in awe of your intellectual productivity. I am so lazy… a dabbler.

If I wrote to unpack one of these Note comments more thoroughly, or what I think is going on in the original re-stacked essay, or (a step yet further) the primary sources the essay is citing -- which one should it be?

What a good idea! Ive thought of the same thing regarding notes - they disappear before your very eye!! I pay -subscribe to a few stacks - impossible to pay for everything!

I love this idea of using Notes as a way to extend the dialogue on the writing and reading we share here. Thank you.
